Diogal's
3rd album
In
his third album, Li lan la, Diogal finds inspiration in the musical
richness related to the ethnic diversity of Senegal. He
involves us in his universe with traditional African rhythms (lebous,
mandingues), as well as folk and pop. Traditional percussions (sabar,
tama, calbasse, brushes, cajón) mix with the western musical
instruments. In his songs, Diogal pays tribute to the great Malian musician Ali Farka
Touré and speaks about human behavior, people's relation to
their own origins, the sea, global warming, his village and love.
This album is the first one in which the artist ensures all the arrangements
and the production. The 12 titles of the new album are recorded at
Diogal's studio,
Wasia.
Released on March 25th, 2008.
